BD Genomics: Single-Cell Seminar

Join us on December 14 in Room 451 at CGRC to learn about:

  • Proteogenomic approaches to Intratumor Heterogeneity in Breast Cancer – The need for integrated workflows to understand solid tumor ecosystems

The current view of tumor tissue development includes a cellular ecosystem as integral model to understanding the basic cancer biology on which clinical progress needs to be based. We have developed a workflow which analyzes cell subpopulations and single cells in a multi-omic approach. Our data suggests a division of labor between cancer cell subpopulations and offers a blueprint for inclusion of the complete cellular network in the investigation of the tumor and its microenvironment. We will show further data on the integration of single cell-surface marker and gene expression information using monocyte subset heterogeneity as an example and will provide a concept for applying these tools to the cancer cell ecosystem towards a deeper understanding of cancer biology and the ultimate goal of improved cancer patient care.
