Cellomics Seminar Series 2014: Applications of Automated 3D-Electron Microscopy using Serial Blockface Scanning Electron Microscopy (SBF-SEM)
June 3, 2014 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
SBF-SEM allows the automated acquisition of high scale aligned micrographs to represent the 3D ultrastructure by sequentially imaging freshly cut resin-embedded block-face. The image stacks can contain hundreds, or even thousands of sequential slices at nanometer resolution in which the spatial resolution provided by the system in the z direction is comparable to its x-y resolution and does not degrade with depth.
Renovo has developed several imaging and analysis applications that can be used to answer several questions in life science and other areas like never before. For more information please visit http://www.renovoneural.com/3d-em-imaging
Lunch will be provided to attendees.
