Florida Genetics 2012 is in honor of Kenneth I. Berns, MD, PhD, former Director of the UF Genetics Institute, Senior Vice President for Health Affairs, and Dean of the College of Medicine at UF. Dr. Berns is a pioneer in the use of adeno-associated virus (AAV) in gene therapy.
