Ultra-Sensitive Quantification of Genome Editing Events Using Droplet Digital PCR
Genome Editing has become a widely used tool and allows specific modification of almost and cell’s genome. However, the often low (<5%) frequency of gene edits, in particular for some primary of induced pluripotent stem cell types hinders facile and reliable detection by gel or sequencing based methods, or requires laborious clonal isolation of edited cells. ddPCR is an Ultra-Sensitive and cost effective method for detection of HDR and NHEJ alleles generated using the CRISPR/Cas9 and TALEN genome editing systems.
