“When Protein Affinity Matters”
MicroScale Thermophoresis (MST) provides a fast, easy and precise approach to studying biomolecular interactions in solution without attachment to a biosensor. Binding affinities (Kds) can be quantified for low and high affinity interactions (pM to mM) with as little as 10ul of interacting mixtures. A wide variety of biomolecules (1 Da to 1000 kDa) can be analyzed by MST ranging from proteins, nucleic acids, and small molecules to more challenging targets such as fragments, ions, liposomes and ribosomes. Additionally, MST allows for close-to-native binding conditions in any buffer, detergent, organic solvent or complex bioliquid such as serum and cell lysate. Multiple applications and data sets will be presented and discussed
