Florida Genetics 2012 Symposium
The ICBR is a proud sponsor of the Florida Genetics 2012 Symposium, hosted by the UF Genetics Institute. Now in its 8th year, the symposium brings prominent scientists from across the country to UF to speak on new and developing aspects of biology and genomics. Florida Genetics 2012 is in honor of Kenneth I. Berns, MD, PhD, former Director of the UF Genetics Institute, Senior Vice President for Health Affairs, and Dean of the College of Medicine at UF. Dr. Berns is a pioneer in the use of adeno-associated virus (AAV) in gene therapy.
The keynote speaker of the 2012 Symposium is David Baltimore, who will be speaking on “AAV to the rescue.” Videos of keynote speakers from the 2010 and 2011 symposiums are available on the UFGI website, as is the 2012 program.
