ICBR Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry provides a new Agilent 6495 Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer

The ICBR Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry core now offers full-service and self-service use of a newly acquired Agilent 6495 Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer. This instrument is the latest generation of Triple Quadrupole from Agilent. With the iFunnel technology, the instrument delivers the attogram/zeptomole limit of detection and quantitation over a wide linear dynamic range. It provides superior sensitivity, reliability, and overall robustness.

The instrument is especially designed for screening, confirmation and quantification of small molecules using triggered multiple reaction monitoring (tMRM), which combines fast and sensitive MRM quantitation with the generation of a product ion spectrum for library searching and compound screening and confirmation. The mass spectrometer is coupled with the new Agilent 1290 UPLC for LC-MS experiments.

ICBR Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry offers staff-assisted, full-service use of the instrument as well as training and self-service opportunities for students and faculty researchers to use the instrument independently. Please contact ICBR Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry core at ICBR-Proteomics@ad.ufl.edu for your research needs.
