The Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research invites applications for a full-time faculty position as the Associate Director for Science at ICBR. This is a 12-month, non-tenured position that is expected to play a key role in ICBR growth and management especially in complex projects including those involving large datasets. The ICBR, founded in 1987, is an auxiliary research support organization providing key biomolecular technology services to the University of Florida life sciences research community through collaboration and deeply informed project involvement. We seek a doctorate-level scientist with training and experience in managing large multidisciplinary projects across -omics technologies. The ideal candidate will have several years of professional experience managing the conduct of complex research projects involving multidisciplinary scientific teams and large data sets. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, a customer satisfaction mentality, along with a broad understanding of key biological concepts enabling an integrated understanding of biological processes.
