Goals for the ICBR Website
The goal of the ICBR website is to provide accurate information to users in as few clicks as possible with as little confusion as possible. Over time, this website should decrease the number of calls which users have to make to the front desk as well as to division leaders and lab managers. Over time this website will be extended to allow near paperless interaction between customers, students, staff, faculty, and outside researchers.
Previous Site
The site which preceded the current site will be brought offline in stages. Critical dynamic content (forms, calendars, …) will be used during an interim period until replacements can be tested. The previous site was designed around 10-15 core laboratories which made up the ICBR at the time. Each laboratory had their own individual web page design and organizational method, which made it hard for users to locate information and hard for the ICBR to update. This new site was designed in order to address these issues and reflect the newly organized ICBR.
Corrections & Suggestions
In order for this website to continue to meet the needs of its users, the ICBR needs suggestions for how to expand and improve the site. Please direct any such requests to Aaron Gardner. Any corrections (spelling, dead links, typos, wrong or misleading information) that a user feels should be made to the site can be directed to Teresa Benton. The ICBR appreciates any assistance in making this website's content more accurate and useful.
*If users experience technical issues relating to the ICBR web server itself they may contact Wally Hunter.
